The WebCustoms application by CrimsonLogic is a powerful tool for air cargo carriers and freight forwarders to meet North American cargo reporting compliance demands prior to arrival. Using WebCustoms, carriers can participate in the Automated Manifest System (AMS) and the Advance Commercial Information (ACI) programs. AMS was introduced by the United States’ Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as a pre-arrival security program that enables CBP to screen shipments with the use of electronic manifests while carriers can file and amend air waybills electronically and communicate flight departures.

ACI is Canada Border Service Agency’s (CBSA) counterpart to AMS, requiring an electronic submission of conveyance and cargo reporting. The WebCustoms application enables marine carriers and freight forwarders to submit electronic manifests online, by fax, or through EDI integration.
